Review: Samsung Galaxy Note
Samsung introduced their hybrid tablet phone, the Galaxy Note, during a Super Bowl commercial that had everyone singing “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” by the Darkness the next day. At SXSW, I met Jen Friel, who was representing AT&T down there, and she gave me one of 5 Samsung Galaxy Notes that she was giving away in Austin, Texas.

Running can be a solitary activity, and as such, having music or books to listen to while runs can help motivate a runner. Just as important as what the runner listens to is what he or she uses to listen to it. The choice of headphones is as important as the device itself that is used. Review: The Cult of LEGO
There have been a few books about LEGO and its adult community, and even a TED Talk about it. The problem with each of them is that they are not written by Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs), but by outsiders who are looking in. Some have received praise, but they just come across as exploitive of a community that is not very mainstream. The Cult of LEGO is the first book written by an AFOL for adults.
Doctor Who Character Building Tardis Mini Set
As a LEGO aficionado, as well as a Doctor Who fan, it’s obvious I would be interested in any TARDIS building set. Having build my own LEGO TARDIS that lit up and played the Doctor Who theme, I was intrigued when I heard there was a company releasing official Doctor Who building sets and picked up the Character Builder TARDIS mini set.

Review: Geek Wisdom
In the book Geek Wisdom – The Sacred Teachings of Nerd Culture, authors N. K. Jemisin, Genevieve Valentine, Eric San Juan, and Zaki Hasan and editor Stephen H. Segal take a look at quotes from across the realms of books, movies, television programs and video games and applied them to different philosophies that can be related to the different quotes. From Inigo Montoya to Jareth the Goblin King, they takes quotes attributed to the different characters and expound upon them.

We are in a new age of music startups. From Turntable.fm to Spotify, plenty of new startups are creating cloud based music listening options to share music with friends. One such new startup is Promusic.fm, a new site that allows a user to create new and share new radio stations online.
