Review: Sony Xperia Play – The Playstation Phone

With the advent of the smartphone and mobile gaming, it was just a matter of time before a manufacturer raised the ante beyond the ever popular Angry Birds and Cut the Line. The company to do that turned out to be the manufacturers of the ever popular Playstation consoles, Sony, with their new Xperia Play cellphone.

Nike+ Sportwatch GPS

As I continue running and training for races, I wanted to start having better accuracy than the Nike+ I had been using to train over the previous year. Since the sportwatch was adding extra distance to my runs and I didn’t want to run with my phone, so a GPS watch was my best bet. Having already tracked my training with the Nike Plus for the past year, I decided to try the Nike+ Sportwatch GPS.

Yurbuds

When I visited the Run Expo as part of the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, one of the companies exhibiting at the expo was Yurbuds, headphones that are supposed to stay locked in while running. Months later, as my over the ear Nike Vapor headphones became worn just before the Brooklyn Half Marathon, I felt it was time to finally try a pair of Yurbuds.

The Verizon Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot LC11

I recently attended a Verzion Wireless and Mashable event, where some of the latest Verizon devices were on display, and a few were given out via raffle. While they gave away a Motorola Xoom and a HTC Thunderbolt in the first two raffles, it was the third and final raffle in which I won a new iPad and a Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot LC11.

Delivering Happiness

At SXSW, I had the chance to pick up a few books by notable social media authors, each talking about different aspects of using social media tools in different ways. One of these books was Delivering Happiness by Tony Hsieh, a book about himself and the rise of Zappos.

Review: Griffin TuneJuice

At SXSW, I attended the Groupon brunch at the Iron Cactus. Some of the attendees, myself included, received a Griffin TuneJuice portable iPhone charger as gifts for coming to the brunch.

Review: Autonet

When traveling the roads of this country from New York to Austin, TX for the Chevy SXSW Road Trip, our Chevy Equinox was supplied with an Autonet router to give us internet access from the car. It gave us the ability to keep connection with the outside world and our GM reps, see what the other teams were posting online and upload our challenges.

Review: Motorola Xoom

On the Chevy SXSW Road Trip, Verizon Wireless was kind enough to sponsor us with a Motorola Xoom. From New York to Texas and back, the Xoom was our traveling companion and connection to the wider world as we traveled the highways and byways of the eastern half of the United States.

Tron: Legacy

28 years ago, Disney unleashed upon the cinematic public the science fiction film. While the plot was slow and plodding, the special effects and creative world captured the imaginations of a generation. Such future luminaries as John Lassiter and the members of Daft Pauk have cited Tron as inspiration for their work. Now, time has passed and we have received its sequel, Tron Legacy.

Review: Motorola Finiti

Each year, the technology advances and the companies release the next iteration of their technology. With the driving laws requiring headsets when driving, it’s important to have a good bluetooth headset. The Finiti is the latest bluetooth headset from Motorola, which incorporates the latest in Motorola’s Motospeak and CrystalTalk technologies.
