Chevy Unveils the Sonic at New York Comic Con

This past weekend at the Javitz Center in New York City was the New York Comic Con. The annual east coast gathering for geek culture, which pulled 96,000 fans of comic books and pop culture in 2010, pulls in people around the world to meet celebrities, find out the latest about tv, movies and comics, and see the latest technologies. One of those technologies this year was the 2012 Sonic from Chevrolet.

Chevy Main Street in Motion

This past Friday, I was invited to the Chevrolet Main Street in Motion event at Citi Field. This is an event that is touring 24 cities across the United States to allow people to come out over the course of a weekend and test drive an assortment of Chevy, GMC and Buick vehicles, and some of their competitor’s vehicles, on preset tracks and routes that let a driver get a taste of what driving the vehicles is like.

The 2012 Chevrolets

Every April, the New York International Auto Show happens at the Jacob Javitz Convention Center, where the auto makers show off their latest and upcoming models to the public. I was invited to attend the Auto Show’s press day to see the new cars coming from Chevrolet.

Macbar

My friend Lea and I were invited to check out Macbar in SoHo recently. This niche restaurant exclusively serves macaroni and cheese, but not the Kraft and Velveeta you grew up on, but a more gourmet style cuisine that meets the adult palate while being reminiscent of the comfort foods of childhood.

Bryant Park Pop Up Shops, Citi Pond and Celsius

Every year during the holiday season, artisans and merchants sell their wares to New Yorkers and tourists alike in Bryant Park in Manhattan. Rows of pop up shops create a mini village around Citi Pond, where people ice skate and party village where people browse and carouse.
